Why writing our wrongs?

It all started with a pledge; a pledge for Writing Our Wrongs.

Founded August 2016,  Writing Our Wrongs, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to our mission to “Empower Youth to Activate Their Voice Through Writing and Speech.” We do so through our W.O.W. Pledge Card and Programs to educate youth on anti-bullying and social justice.

We stand on 3 core beliefs to execute our movement to activate the voice of a generation.

  • ACTIVATION
  • EDUCATION
  • PARTICIPATION

THE W.O.W PLEDGE

ACTIVATION: THE W.O.W. PLEDGE

The W.O.W. Pledge is the cornerstone of everything we do. We believe that in order to carry out our mission to empower youth to activate their voice, they must first believe in the power of the voice that they possess. Writing The W.O.W. Pledge was our first act of love, light and encouragement to this generation that they do matter. The W.O.W. Pledge is an affirmation to activate the voices of all who read it and are inspired by the indelible words to Write The Change, Speak The Change, and Be The Change. Join thousands of youth by signing the W.O.W. Pledge!

EDUCATION: PROJECT BASED PROGRAMS

We use project based learning to educate students on the competencies of creative writing to tell their stories of bullying and injustices and to inspire their peers. We focus our curriculum on building writing oratoracle skills

PARTICIPATION: CONNECTING TO A GREAT CAUSE

Our sponsors, partners and program participants are a valuable part of W.O.W. Dedicating time and donations is a great way to be the change in the lives of our students who strive to learn how to be advocates for others to stand for anti-bullying and social justice.
